Guy Yanai lives and works in Tel Aviv making sad things in happy colors. His biggest focus now is his first solo show in NYC at Ameringer Mcenery Yohe. We interviewed Guy. Enjoy

I believe in absolute freedom, and that means freedom for readings of the work to always change as well.

What would be the tweet that could sign every work of yours?

-I don’t want to have any signature or any one type atmosphere in the all for the body of work. The aim for me is to keep looking and observing, to grow, to tell the life story in way that cannot be exhausted. This means constant change, constant shifts, and constant anxiety.

What would you change in the art world?

-The art world is fine, I have no problem with it. In fact, I love the art world. There is room for everything and everyone now.

What do you want you to be remembered as?

-Well, I have allot to do, allot to get done, and I’m not thinking about the memory of my work yet. If people are moved by the work that’s fine. Its best if people were to take good care of the work. I believe in absolute freedom, and that means freedom for readings of the work to always change as well.
